| When I run CILe, it gives me a Security
Warning every time. How can I turn that off?
This message is Microsoft's way of preventing some hostile program from changing something in your computer that you don't want changed. To stop this message, you need to tell it that CILe is safe. Here's how you do that.
When you see the "Security Warnings / Options" button (#1 above), click the "Options" button. You then have two options. You can either click the "Enable this content" radio button and click "OK," or you can click the "Open the Trust Center" link, (#2 above). If you click the "Enable" radio button and the OK button, you will have to do this every time. CILe will run fine this way, but you may want to avoid this step. To avoid having to deal with that warning each time you execute CILe, click the "Open the Trust Center" link.
Once you click that link, you will see a list of items on the left, one of which is "Trusted Locations." Click that button, and you will see the window displayed above appear. At the bottom, you will see the "Add new location..." button. Click that button to identify CILe as a trusted application.
Type "C:\CILe" into the "Path" box (remember to make it a backslash rather than a forward slash), and click the "Subfolders of this location are also trusted" checkbox and click the OK button.
You will then be returned to the Security Alert box,
where you can click "Enable this content" and the OK button,
and you will be brought into the signin window of CILe. From now on, when
you click the CILe icon on your desktop, you will no longer have the Security
Warning message. |
