CILe - Client Information Ledger |
| Research Outstanding Claims | ![]() |
CILe helps you research your outstanding claims by making all of the information you need to discuss this issue with your insurance company available at your fingertips. CILe has three screens that are invaluable in this process: The Fiscal Face Sheet, the Insurance Payment Maintenance screen, and the Count of Unpaid Sessions screen.
The Fiscal Face Sheet (see "Add a New Client"), contains all of the personal and insurance information necessary to identify the client to the insurance worker you are speaking with. The Insurance Payment Maintenance screen, described here, gives you all of the sessions with outstanding claims and the claim information necessary to do the research. The "Count of Unpaid Sessions" screen provides you with a listing of clients sorted by the number of sessions that have not yet been paid, with the highest number at the top. With these three screens at your fingertips, you never need to go to your file cabinet to find out why your claim hasn't been paid yet, and CILe makes it easy to decide which phone calls to make first.
To make the phone call or look a claim up on the internet
(at the insurance company's website), open the client's Fiscal Face Sheet and
the Insurance Payment Maintenance screen.
You access the Insurance Payment Maintenance screen off of the Fiscal menu.
The following is a screenshot of that screen. Go to "Document Checks" for a full explanation of how to use this screen.
CILe also gives you a listing where you can see which clients have the most outstanding claims. This can help you prioritize which clients you want to research first, in case there is something wrong with their data, causing larger numbers of their claims to be denied or delayed.

Select "Count of Unpaid Sessions" off of the Fiscal menu.
The above listing, sorted by the number of outstanding claims, will help you prioritize which phone calls you should make first. Click the "Fiscal Face Sheet" or "Payment Details" buttons to display the rest of the information you need to talk to the insurance company about the outstanding claims. The "Expand Note" button will allow you to see more of the note, in case you have a larger amount of text.
