| How can I quickly document
a missed session? Since you will not be writing an extensive note, and there will be no claim created, there is no reason to actually go to the session note screen itself to document a missed session. By clicking on the appropriate menu item, CILe will insert the correct session note into the database without any effort on your part. You access the client pop-up menu by right-clicking on the client's name.
By clicking any of the items next to the brace on the menu screenshot above, you can document a client's session note for today's date. If they cancelled or no-showed, or if you cancelled the appointment yourself, by clicking on that item, you can quickly document that fact as a session note without having to leave the schedule page. It automatically populates the session note with today's date and the appropriate visit code (i.e., Cancelled by client, No-show, etc.). If the client cancelled and you want the session note to reflect why, then click "Client Cancelled Today with Note," and it will allow you to include a short note, again without forcing you to go to the session note form itself. If you mistakenly do that on a date other than the
date of the missed session, it will populate the session note with the
date you create the note rather than the date of the scheduled session.
In that event, you can manually go to the session note (by clicking the
Session Note item on the above menu) and click the "Chg Incorrect
Date" button and fix it. |
